November 2011 - For the fifth consecutive year, Veterinary Pet Insurance is leading the working to raise awareness of the nation's number one disease-related killer of dogs and cats with a fun-filled 3K (1.8 miles) walk for both people and their pets. This year's Pet Cancer Awareness Walk was held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Shoreline Village Lighthouse Peninsula in Long Beach. 100% of the entry fees were donated to the Animal Cancer Foundation (ACF), a non-profit organization focusing on the prevention and treatment of cancer in pets and people. May 19, 2011 - Veterinary Cancer Group is excited to announce an educational event for the pet community focusing on Animal Disaster Preparedness. A collaboration between MWI Veterinary Supply and Veterinary Cancer Group, this event aims to help pet owners know what to have on hand and be prepared with in case a disaster strikes. One of Veterinary Cancer Group's Registered Veterinary Technicians, Kim Pincus, will also be giving a first aid demonstration on her dog at the event. Everyone is welcome - pet owners, animal hospital employees, clients of our hospital. Feel free to pass the word on to others.

September 26, 2010 - VCG Family Reunion. At Veterinary Cancer Group, we feel that you are a part if our family, so we aim to keep in touch. Our staff held a party and pot-luck at Irvine Regional Park to offer the opportunity to visit with some friends we hadn't seen in a while. Even long after pet owners come to Veterinary Cancer Group for services for their pet, they are still considered a part of our 'family'. Check out our video (Courtesy of Adam Burrows).
July 2010 - Dr. Avenelle Turner was a featured guest speaker at a community event in the Santa Monica area open to all pet owners interested in learning more about cancer. The educational lecture was held at Animal Wellness Centers' Santa Monica location. Visit their website for more information.
June 2010 - Dr. Mona Rosenberg speaks at the first ACVIM Wellness Expo In Long Beach. The goal of the ACVIM Animal Wellness Expo is to stimulate public interest in specialty veterinary internal medicine and increase the public profile of the ACVIM.
November 2009 - The 3rd annual K9K Pet Cancer
Awareness Walk was jam-packed with dogs and people alike on
Saturday, November 14, 2009 in celebration of Pet Cancer Awareness
Month. Team VCG was there in full force - Veterinary Cancer
Group doctors, chemo nurses, support staff, and their pets walked
alongside some of our awesome patients and their families who gave
up their Saturday morning for a good cause. Hosted by VPI Pet
Insurance, this year's K9K carried participants along a picturesque
trail through the Rainbow Harbor boardwalk and Shoreline Village
Lighthouse Peninsula area in Downtown Long Beach,
California. All monies raised from entry fees for the walk
were donated to the Animal Cancer
Foundation (ACF), a non-profit organization focusing on
the prevention and treatment of cancer in pets and people. To
those wonderful friends of Veterinary Cancer Group that walked with
us or visited at the booth afterward, we send our heartfelt thanks
for helping to support Pet Cancer Awareness. To all others, we
extend a welcome to join in the festivities next year.
October 2009 - Pets and their families were invited
to join us Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Orange County SPCA 12th
Annual Walk for the Animals at Huntington Beach Central Park.
Games, Goodies, Grand Marshall Snoopy, and a walk-a-thon to benefit
the OCSPCA were just part of the fun the
day brought. Advanced Veterinary Specialty Group
(AVSG), of which Veterinary Cancer Group Tustin is a partner
practice, was pleased to be one of the corporate sponsors.
Proceeds benefited the OCSPCA. Friends of Veterinary Cancer
Group were to meet Team Members at the AVSG booth to join us
for the walk.
July 2009 - VCG attends The Surfin Paws Dog Jam in Huntington Beach. Proceeds from the event went to the OCSPCA.
May 2009 - VCG attends Nuts for Mutts Mixed Breed Dog Show and Pet Fair in Woodland Hills. The Eighth Annual Event raised money for the non-profit rescue organization New Leash on Life.
April 2009 - Dana Point 16th Annual Wag-A-Thon - This is the best time that you and your dog will ever have! Sniff, wag, play your way around the Dana Point Harbor Island on Saturday, April 25, 2009, while munching on treats, listening to music, and visiting vendors with the coolest stuff for you and your dog you'll see anywhere! (And maybe some stuff for your cat and bunny!) VCG will be there!
