Can I call the oncologist for a consultation on a case
to see if a referral is appropriate?
Yes. The specialists at Veterinary Cancer Group welcome calls and
are happy to provide information to our referring community.
How should I refer a patient?
We recommend that either your client contact us to set up
a consultation, or you may set up a consultation for your client by
providing us with necessary medical records. One of our client care
specialists will make sure we receive the appropriate information
prior to an appointment. Veterinary Cancer Group is also happy
to provide brochures you can distribute to your patients.
When should I refer a case?
Anytime a patient has, or may have, cancer.
How will I be updated?
A follow-up call is made to you after each new patient's first
consultation. A summary of the visit is also faxed after all
appointments. All lab work performed by Veterinary Cancer Group
will also be faxed to you once it's received, reviewed, and the
client has been contacted.
